STRING EXPLORERS 1 & 2
String Explorers is for beginner students with no prior experience. The class is held at the Frisco Discovery Center every Sunday from 12:30pm to 1:15pm. Students will learn the fundamentals of their instrument, including proper playing position, notes on the strings, and how to play with the bow. Music theory and note reading are also taught. Our class is set for success, as our Orchestra directors are Certified and actively teaching in school music programs on school days. We also follow State Standards and align our curriculum with Frisco ISD standards. This is what makes NTXEO a one-of-a-kind experience.
Every August and February, we begin a new beginner class.
5th Grade Round Up Begins on Sunday, February 2nd. Please fill out the form below to start your child's enrollment.
Junior ORchestra
The Junior Orchestra is designed for students who are currently receiving private lessons or already have experience playing their instrument. Class meets every Sunday from 1:15pm to 2:00pm. During the class, students will work on technique studies from a variety of method books and will play appropriate level orchestra music. Additionally, students will be assigned a solo piece to prepare for the Spring Solo Festival. The Junior Orchestra has had the opportunity to perform at different community events including the Frisco Listening Room, Frisco PTA Vendor Event, Frisco Heritage Museum Wassle Walk, and the Sound of the Seasons Festival at Stonebriar Mall. In this group, students will learn essential skills such as ear training, note reading, music theory, and fundamental orchestra etiquette.
